Topps announced via Beckett today that they will be rolling out a mini version of the 2012 Topps set similar to what they did in 1975.This will be packaged 24 packs to a box with 10 cards per pack. Both Series will be included in packs. The box states collect all 661 cards which leads one to believe that the Harper rookie will be included as well. Each box will contain one relic or autographed card.
Here is the kicker though,It will only be available via www.shoptopps.com .This is the second product Topps has released exclusively through the website. In 2011 they released Topps Magic Football through the site.
Topps released these pictures for 2012 Topps Allen & Ginter. One features a Dracula “autograph” which is 2 bloody fang marks on the card. The other is a card of the fire breather. You can always count on Allen & Ginter to keep things fresh and interesting.
While details on this release a few and far between one thing is very clear. This may be the most visually appealing set Topps has released for football in many years.
Here is a boatload of very cool cards from 2012 Tier One.I like the look of this set more than last years version.Hopefully the checklist is tighter than it’s 2011 predecessor.
The images have been borrowed from www.cardboardconnection.com .
My first impression is I am not impressed overall. The handful of Legends seem out of place. The seldom seen photos used are the highlight here.
2012 Topps Series 2 Baseball Short Prints and Variations Gallery
Here is a bunch of pictures detailing some of the inserts to be found in Series 2.I am a big fan of the hard signed Die Cuts.
I will be keeping a close eye out for the Variations.Keep checking in for pictures and a checklist for the Variations.
I took these pictures from a post on freedom cardboard.com .This should be a huge hit on the secondary market.Tons of big names are included in this set.
